The V&V Test Suite for V3 has the same test problems as releases V2.26 
(for YMP QA) and V3.1 (April 2012).  Additional tests have been added with
new releases and and are described in the appendices of the
FEHM_VERIFICATION_V3.X.pdf available on the download page.

The following is a partial list of tests added since V3.1: 
  Tests for macro co2 with co2pres, co2flow, and co2frac (co2test)
  Test the macro evap (evaporation)
  Test macros ngas and trac (wvtest)
  Test infiltration using the ecm and dpm models with Richard’s equation (infiltration*)
  Test new concentration dependent density formulation (cden_test)
  Test concentration flux output option (cflxz_test)
  Test a new stress permeability model (stress_perm)
  Test rlpm macro instead of the rlp macro, using both equation and table input.
  Test Multi-Solute Transport with Chemical Reaction 
  Test one dimensional Reactive Solute transport (trac and trxn)
  Test Three-Dimensional Radionuclide Transport (trac_rlp, trxn_rlp, trac_rlpm))
  Test Comparison of Salt Conductivity Model to Theoretical Results
  Test Comparison of Stress Bodyforce Model 
  
After confirming successful tests on each operating system, a compressed 
archive file is created for each operating system; Linux, Mac, and WINDOWS.

Known Issues:
This mac test suite was created on Mavericks and some comparison binary files are no longer compatible with OS Yosemite or newer.
For these tests, results need to be checked and compared individually. FEHM V3.1.1 results were checked and all tests passed.

Installation:
The following describes the verification test environment.

Files needed to setup the verification environment are contained in a compressed tar file.

For UNIX, a directory should be created and the files installed there.
    % gunzip Installation_directory/VERIFICATION*.tar.gz
    % mkdir VERIFICATION
    % cd VERIFICATION
    % tar xvf Installation_directory/VERIFICATION*.tar
    where Installation_directory is the location of the VERIFICATION.tar file. 

    Auxiliary programs (COMPARE and SUMMARIZE), are also installed in this directory, 
    but may be moved/installed elsewhere if desired.

On Windows the Winzip archive will automatically extract the files into
FEHM\Verification and the auxiliary programs (COMPARE, SUMMARIZE,
DATESTRING and DATE_TIME) into FEHM\bin on the specified drive, i.e., C:. 
These Auxiliary programs may be moved to different locations if desired.

Please check distribution media for exact names of archive files and executables.
Version and/or platform identifiers are included in the names to further identify
the products and archived files are often compressed to reduce size 
(i.e., VERIFICATION_V3.2win.zip).
